Peter Albinsson, CFA | Founder
Mr. Albinsson has extensive experience in healthcare sector research and innovative finance, ranging from technology transfer and venture capital to multi-billion dollar public market transactions. As a founder of Santeum Partners AG Mr. Albinsson has for the past two years focused on the emerging markets healthcare development and investment opportunity, including advisory work for health sector companies, academia, investors and government sponsored funds. Prior to that Mr. Albinsson worked in various positions at EFG International (part of EFG Group, Switzerland's 3rd largest bank by tier-1 capital), including the position as Chief Healthcare Analyst. Mr. Albinsson graduated from the European Business School, London with a First Class BA (Hons) degree in International Business Studies, major in Finance. In his final year he received the Alfred Dunhill prize for best student. Mr. Albinsson is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
Sven Behrendt, Ph. D. | Senior Advisor
Dr. Behrendt is an expert in macroeconomic and geopolitical analysis, as well as corporate strategy development. He has published widely on these issues and has extensive experience in managing complex, multi-disciplinary research and advisory projects. In his current position at Middle East office of the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, based in Beirut, he is heading its research activities on Sovereign Wealth Funds. Prior to this assignment, Dr Behrendt held numerous management positions at the World Economic Forum, based in Geneva. Before joining the Forum, he managed the second-track mediation activities of the Bertelsmann Foundation in the Middle East, resulting in a number of diplomatic breakthroughs. Dr Behrendt graduated from the University of Konstanz/Germany with a Diploma in Politics and Management and was awarded a Ph.D. degree in international relations. He studied at the London School of Economics, in Khartoum and Damascus. Dr. Behrendt is a member of the International Institute for Security Studies.
Tawfik Rushdy, CACA | Senior Strategic Programme Advisor
Mr. Rushdy is an international development and strategic transformational change programme expert, with broad experience of business development, capacity building, commercial finance, technology, resourcing and procurement. He has a distinguished track record of influencing policy, deal making, brokering innovative business models and strategic partnerships, raising finance and guiding governance at senior Board and government levels. He led major change initiatives at premier institutions such as the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP), the National Health Services (NHS), the Office of Government Commerce (OGC), the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, the Department for Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform (DBERR), BP, GlaxoSmithKline, Prudential Bank, Vodafone, BT, O2, NTL, HP, Kerry Group, and Irish Aid. In his latest role he worked with the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and the College of Surgeons of Central, East, and South Africa to help improve African health and education systems performance and capacity. Mr. Rushdy has a BSc in Economics and is a Graduate CACA.
